| Alou
Sangaré! Does this name ring you a bell? Of course you know him, he's
the son of Madou guitar, member of the regional orchestra of Sikasso
in the 70's. Remarked by Abdoulaye Diabaté, this young artist of 23
years old has been one of the revelations of the sixth edition of Etoiles
du Mali in Sikasso.
Alou
Sangaré won his first success during the second edition of the "Doundounba
top" organised by the radio Jamana of Koutiala in 1995 . He is second
of the festival thanks to the moving song (every thing has an end) which
propelled him in the front of the Malian scenes. From that time, nothing
could have stopped this young auto-mechanic learner to take over a father
who disappeared from the Malian scenes since the end of the 70's.
In
1996, he produced his first tape with the resumption of the fetish song
"diagnè mogo" of his father.
In
February 2000, a new tape "an ga dan an bèrè la" which contains six
tracks is recorded at the studio Bogolan. This album comes to fill the
blank that was leaved by the disappearance of late his father. Proof
if need be that the young Alou is now so mature that he made an exhibition
of bamanan melodies on his album. His music, even if it's generally
made of modern instruments, hasn't lost its soul. From slow songs (Ségou
da) to dancing ones (kamalen ba) passing by the "korodjouga don"
(an ga dan bèrè la), Alou Sangaré, a fragile and muffled voice, has
a lot of surprises for us.
Let yourself go!
