Sound Diata Sya

"It is indisputable that music is an arm; the one of the descendants of Soundiata Keita: the Diata Sya . through rap they pass the message . So for once, let's remember the baobabs such as Soundiata, Babemba, El hadj Oumar Tall ..."

The story of Diata Sya began about ten years ago. All began with young people of Dravéla and Bamako Coura. They are the two older districts of Bamako and are quoted among the hotter of the capital. It's also there that a lot of Rap-Ragga band such as King Da Dja, Zotto boys have developed, bands which had much success out of Mali as in Mali. Diata Sya began to get known in 1991-92 under the name of Black Boys, a band of five artists: Madani Touré "Chanana", Moussa Koné "N-Bee", Kamadou Sidibé "Krimo", Makamba Doumbia et Karou Kaba. Afterwards, the two last abandoned the band for other occupations. Makamba devoted to school and Karou Kaba presently animate Rap broadcasts on the radio in his district.

Then, under the leadership of Madani Touré "Chanana", the Black Boys became the Diata Sya, the descendants of Soundiata Keita. Chanana animated at that time a broadcast of Rap and Ragga in the radio Tabalé: "Rapline - Raggastyle" . It was one of the main broadcasts. On .03 MHZ, Chanana was called "The Best" in the radio and taught other animators. Conscious of the importance of music, the Diata Sya are militants through their engaged lyrics. It's from Soundiata Keďta "Mandé Massa", a great Mandingo warrior that they draw their inspiration and hope that one day, they will reach the international scene. After a few times spent in the Bamako underground, "Ital Vibes" got the Diata Sya back.

An album that was so awaited by the Malian public after the hit "Boumba", a duet Chanana / N-Bee. The hit and the clip aroused envy and made a lot of victims of the burgeoning phenomena.
